✨ I used to believe my divorce made me a failure ✨ I used to believe my divorce made me a failure. Society often tells women that “giving up” is shameful, and my mother instilled in me the idea that staying, even when it’s difficult, is noble. My ex-husband told me that no one would love me as a single mother of four, and my insecurities convinced me that I’d never have a family again. But the truth is, my divorce was my freedom, and it was the best decision I ever made. To any woman feeling stuck - you deserve happiness too. ✨ I struggle with self-sabotage and imposter syndrome daily. I convince myself that I’m not enough and pick myself apart – my mind, my body, my abilities, every piece of my life, and every piece of who I am. But I’m working hard to rewrite that narrative by giving myself grace when needed and reminding myself of everything I’ve achieved in my life so far. To every woman fighting to love herself - know that you’re not alone. ✨ Financially, I’m barely making ends meet. I see other creators juggling jobs, bills, and families, seemingly with ease, and I wonder how they do it. I wish I had it as easy. But the truth is, we only see a tiny fraction of someone’s life on social media, and it’s easy to make things seem perfect. If you’re in the same boat, know that your strength isn’t in pretending - it’s in pushing through the hard times one day at a time. ✨ I won’t fake relationships anymore, and that includes with my family. I’ll always be polite and say hello, and I won’t miss functions, especially those involving my children, but I won’t go out of my way to engage in forced conversation. If we don’t have a genuine relationship, I’m not interested in faking one. I’ve learned that protecting my peace is far more important than the need to be liked. To the women struggling with family or friends - you’re not selfish or rude for protecting yourself from a draining environment. ✨ I hate co-parenting with my ex.
